Intro to French for Adults
This interactive program is designed to help our members gain confidence in their daily interactions.
Each session lasts 1.5 hours and includes a presentation (including a listening or reading comprehension exercise) and at least one practice session in breakout rooms where learners can practice and interact with each other through questions and answers or role-play.
Family Fun Kahoot! Game Night
Join us for a Family-friendly Kahoot! learning experience! Challenge friends and family to test their French skills and win exciting prizes!
Concours d’art oratoire
The Concours d’art oratoire is a public-speaking competition for youth who are learning French in school. Students are tasked with writing and presenting an original three to five minute speech on a topic of their choice.
CPF’s longstanding public-speaking competition is a great way to celebrate official language bilingualism in Canada!
O’Poésie
O’Poésie is a French as a second language poetry contest for 6 to 18 year old youth. This is an opportunity for FSL students to explore the beauty and expressivity of the French language through a creative learning project.

The Mary Joyce Booth Fund
The Mary Joyce Booth Fund is administered by Canadian Parents for French (CPF) through the distribution of $500 grants directly to organizations delivering opportunities for youth (and their parents) to learn and use French. Applications are open November 1, 2021 to January 15, 2022.
